How I Got My First 10 Pressure Washing Customers (No Door Knocking)
By Keven Bermeo · · 11 min
Yo, what's going on everyone? This is Kevin from Pressure Washing Plays. In this video, I'm going to show you how to get your first 10 customers pressure washing in the spring summer season of 2026. I'm going to show you the real strategies I use to stay booked out. We're going to go through every single thing you can do this week to go get some customers coming in.
If you're new to pressure washing, this video is going to be gold for you because there are probably some things that you're not doing right now that you probably should. So let's get into it.
Step 1: Stop Chasing and Start Positioning
The problem with door-to-door is I don't like the idea of going to random people's homes, knocking on their door, and trying to convince them to hire you. It's kind of like high pressure sales. And there's nothing wrong with that. Obviously, there's a lot of money to be made, and people still end up buying the service anyways because, you know, might as well get it clean since people are out here already.
But the thing is, for me, I don't really like to chase work because what I found is when you're at $0 to $3,000 per month, you're knocking on these homes out of desperation. People can sense it inside of you and it just becomes really frustrating. Your close rates are bad and all that kind of stuff.
What I usually did is I focused on channels where I can get leads coming in that are actually interested in the services. I don't want to convince people to hire me. I want people to find me because they have urgency to get this cleaned up. And you can do this simply by just putting yourself on social media. You don't even have to put your face if you don't want to. You just got to make posts regularly.
Step 2: Set Up Your Google Business Profile (Do This First)
The first thing you need to do is set up a Google Business Profile. You have to get this set up. This was keeping me booked out. All you need to do is get 20 reviews on your Google page and people will start calling you up.
A lot of people have trouble setting up the Google Business Profile. While you're watching this video, search up "Google Business Profile" and get it set up. By the end of this video, if you just have this video in the background playing and you set up your Google Business Profile, by minute five or six you're going to have it set up. It's just like creating an Instagram account. You do it pretty fast.
But the problem with Google is they need to verify your business. So what you need to do is you need to get a postcard sent to your house. Google will send you a postcard with a verification code. Once you enter that code, your Google Business Profile is live and people can find you when they search for pressure washing in your area.
Step 3: Get 20 Reviews as Fast as Possible
Here's the key to making Google Business Profile work: you need 20 reviews minimum. Once you hit 20 reviews, people start trusting you and calling. Before that, you're competing with every other pressure washer in your area who has more reviews than you.
How do you get 20 reviews fast? Ask every single customer for a review after you complete their job. Make it easy for them. Send them a direct link to your Google Business Profile review page via text. Say something like: "Hey, I really appreciate your business! If you're happy with the work, would you mind leaving me a quick review? Here's the link."
You can also offer a small incentive. Tell customers: "Leave me a review and I'll give you $20 off your next service." This speeds up the process and gets you to 20 reviews in your first month or two of business.
Step 4: Post on Social Media Regularly (No Face Required)
You need to be posting on social media regularly. I'm talking Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, wherever your local customers are hanging out. The good news is you don't have to show your face if you don't want to. Just post before and after photos and videos of your work.
Post 3-5 times per week minimum. Show the transformation. Show the dirty driveway before and the clean driveway after. Show the moldy house before and the sparkling house after. People love transformation content, and it builds trust in your services.
When you post regularly, people in your area start seeing your content. They see you're active, you're professional, and you're getting results. When they need pressure washing, you're the first person they think of because they've been seeing your posts for weeks or months.
Step 5: Join Local Facebook Groups and Nextdoor
Facebook groups and Nextdoor are gold for getting your first customers without any ad spend. Find your local neighborhood groups and start posting your work. Before and afters perform incredibly well. Get customers to vouch for you in these groups. A recommendation from a neighbor is worth ten paid ads.
